About WSWC

Our Mission

Wine and Spirits Wholesalers of Colorado (WSWC) was formed to promote the general welfare of alcohol beverage wholesalers and to promote the three tier system of distribution and which ensures fair trade practices in the alcohol beverage industry. WSWC works to maintain and encourage a high standard of ethics and responsibility among all businesses engaged in the industry.

WSWC provides members with representation before the Colorado General Assembly, state agencies, and the general public. Additionally, WSWC supports social responsibility efforts to eliminate underage consumption of alcohol beverages in Colorado.

WSWC is an affiliate of the Wine and Spirits Wholesalers of America and represents its members in this nationwide organization through participation and membership on the Advisory Council.

We offer essential information and support for the liquor industry in Colorado, ensuring stakeholders are well-informed and compliant with state regulations.

Nate Phippen

WSWC President (2026-2027)

Executive Vice President, Breakthru Beverage Colorado

Nate is an accomplished business leader and 30+ year industry veteran, with 23 of those years spent with Breakthru Beverage. He was most recently the Executive Vice President for Wisconsin since 2014, before moving into his current role as Executive Vice President, Colorado in June of 2023. He has a proven track record in building high-performance cultures, developing people, and fostering strong relationships with suppliers, customers, and the community.
Throughout his career, Nate has held various leadership positions within the industry, including successful stints in Illinois, Wisconsin, and supporting a leadership transition in Minnesota. He is highly skilled in delivering best-in-class results and has a keen eye for identifying opportunities for growth and innovation.

Michael Jeffrey

WSWC Immediate Past President

Executive Vice President, Southern Glazers

Michael Jeffery is a veteran beverage-alcohol executive with nearly 40 years of industry experience, beginning his career in Colorado with Western Davis Distributing before taking on key leadership roles at E&J Gallo Winery, Valley Wine Company, and Mt. Hood Beverage. He joined Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits in the Pacific Northwest, serving as Vice President of Trade Development—where he helped lead Washington’s spirits-privatization transition—and later as Vice President & General Manager of Oregon. In 2021, he was appointed Executive Vice President & General Manager for Southern Glazer’s Colorado market, overseeing statewide strategy, operations, and commercial execution. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Northern Michigan University.

Ronnie Miller

Executive Vice President, Republic National Distributing Company

Ronnie Miller is a strategically-minded and results-driven leader with 24 years of experience at RNDC, where he rose through roles in sales, commercial strategy, and operations to deliver sustained revenue growth and competitive market expansion. He currently serves as Executive Vice President – Colorado, overseeing all market operations in that region. Ronnie holds a degree from Texas Tech University and is known for his ability to build high-performance teams, align sales with customer experience, and adapt quickly to evolving industry demands.
